LEADING PARTNERSHIPS FOR APPLYING THE ARTS OF PEACE IN THE GOVERNANCE OF CONTEMPORARY DIVERSITY

Global Citizenship Project

In October 2016, we ran a 3-day set of workshops for sixth-form students aged 16-18, from a number of schools in the Keighley & Bradford district

The aim of the 3-day event was to provide the students with the capacity and skills to be able to think for themselves and explore ways in which we can learn how to better understand others from different backgrounds and worldviews and the environment in which we live. Workshops were delivered in an engaging and creative way and touched on issues of the environment, human rights & racial justice, politics & democracy, conflict resolution, values & worldviews, social justice and media perceptions. The young people received a certificate at the end and their details were added to the ICLS alumni database.

This event was financially supported by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.
